Rogue's revised Westside Power Bar, co-developed with powerlifting great and strength coach Louie Simmons, is now fully machined and constructed in Columbus, Ohio—just down the road from Simmons' renowned Westside Barbell training facility. A 29MM diameter, 205K PSI tensile strength shaft with single powerlifting knurl marks and a center knurl is included on the Westside Power Bar 2.0.The new knurl pattern is deep and coarse without being harsh or abrasive, and it was created precisely to meet Louie's requirements. Great as a secondary bar

This is a nice barbell. The black on black zinc coating is beautiful. As many other's have stated, the bar arrived with a few knicks in the zinc coating, here and there on the sleeves, but they're small and nothing to get in a twist about. Where the blemishes are located, I would cause wear anyway from general use. So, no big deal, The knurling is good, but not quite as good as my stainless steel OPB. The zinc coating fills in some of the knurling, causing it to have less bite and resulting in a feel that is slightly less grippy. But I knew this going in, so again, not a big deal. I purchased this bar to serve as a backup and to use for ignorant lifts I wouldn't feel comfortable using my stainless OPB to do, like heavy rack pulls and such. So, when it gets beat up, I won't be bothered. That said, if you can only purchase one barbell, I wouldn't recommend the Westside power bar. I would recommend the all stainless steel OPB. It's knurling is sharper, and it's corrosion resistance is superior. But if you're in the market for a secondary stiff bar that can take a beating but also has a bit of corrosion resistance and just looks cool, this is a great barbell for that purpose.

Excellent bar. Holds up better than stated.

This is a great rendition of the OPB. Literally this is an OPB will black sleeves and green end caps, so you are paying a premium on the aesthetics of this bar. So this is a great option if you care about that, otherwise just go with an OPB with bright zinc sleeves if you want the same corrosion resistance for a cheaper price... I personally love the look of the bar and have found the coating to hold up well on the sleeves. I use plates with machined steel inserts, so other users may have a different experience. The knurl is definitely not sharp or overly aggressive. I would describe the knurling as being moderate, but sticky and comfortable. I use this bar as a daily driver for squats and deadlifts. It feels comfortable working in higher rep ranges with this bar as it doesn’t tear up your hands. Would recommend.
